ReviewNote Terms of Service
The conditions for using ReviewNote, including subscriptions and AI-generated content.
Effective August 1, 2026 · Last updated August 1, 2026
1. Purpose
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using ReviewNote (the "Service") provided by Dstudio (the "Company"), and the rights and obligations of the Company and users. By using the app, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
2. The Service
- PDF upload and AI-based analysis (default AI models per plan; selectable in the app's settings)
- Generation of summary notes, multiple-choice quizzes, and flashcards (spaced-repetition review)
- Mind-map visualization of terms extracted from documents
- Push notifications for analysis completion and failure (configurable per item)
- Data sync across devices when signed in with Apple
- Monthly analysis limits (credits) according to your plan (Free, Basic, Premium)
3. Notice on AI-Generated Content
Summary notes, quizzes, flashcards, and term summaries provided by the Service are generated automatically by AI and may differ from the original document or contain inaccuracies. AI-generated content is provided as a study aid, and the Company does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. For important uses such as exam preparation, always check against the original document.
4. Accounts
- The Service starts immediately with an anonymous account — no sign-up required. If you wish, you can sign in with your Apple account and keep your existing data.
- In anonymous mode, deleting the app or switching devices means you can no longer access the previous account and its data. Apple sign-in users can regain access by signing in again with the same Apple account.
- You can delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the app. All server data is destroyed immediately upon deletion, and the Apple account link is also revoked.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
- Basic and Premium are auto-renewing monthly subscriptions billed through your Apple ID. Prices follow the amount shown on the App Store payment screen.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can cancel in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, or in the app's Settings → Manage Subscription. Benefits continue until the end of the current billing period even after cancellation.
- Refunds follow Apple's refund policies and procedures (reportaproblem.apple.com).
- Plan limits: document analysis is measured in monthly credits. Free provides 150, Basic 1,500, and Premium 4,500 credits per month; credits are deducted based on document length and the selected AI model (rough guide: Free ≈ three 50-page documents, Basic ≈ thirteen 100-page documents, Premium ≈ sixteen 150-page documents).
- Separately from credits, there are caps on monthly analysis counts (Free 20, Basic 60, Premium 150) and on pages accepted per document (up to 400 pages on all plans). Basic and above can select higher-quality AI models.
- Limits and plan composition may change as the Service improves; changes will be announced in the app.
6. User Obligations
- You must hold lawful rights to use any document you upload. You are responsible for uploads that infringe copyrights or other third-party rights.
- You must not interfere with the normal operation of the Service (abnormal bulk requests, exploiting vulnerabilities, attempting to bypass limits, etc.).
- You must not use the Service for purposes that violate laws or public order and morals.
7. Rights to Content
- Rights to documents you upload remain with you (or the original rights holder). The Company processes documents only to provide the Service (analysis, storage, display).
- You may freely use AI-generated summaries, quizzes, and flashcards for personal study purposes.
- Rights to the Service itself (software, design, trademarks, etc.) belong to the Company.
8. Changes and Suspension of the Service
The Company may change or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons. Significant changes unfavorable to paid users will be announced in advance in the app.
9. Limitation of Liability
- The Company is not liable for damages caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as force majeure or failures of infrastructure providers (Apple, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Supabase, etc.).
- The Company is not liable for damages caused by inaccuracies in AI-generated content, or by causes attributable to the user (such as losing account access by deleting the app in anonymous mode).
- Where the Company is found liable, its liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Changes to These Terms
The Company may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law. Changes and their effective date will be announced on this page, and changes unfavorable to users will be announced at least 7 days before they take effect.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes arising from use of the Service are subject to the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.
Supplementary Provisions
- These Terms take effect on August 1, 2026. (Originally effective July 19, 2026)
- Revised on August 1, 2026: (1) plan limits in Section 5 were changed to match the actual credit-based system (previously: monthly document counts and per-document page limits); (2) Sign in with Apple (cross-device sync), analysis push notifications, and AI model selection were reflected in Sections 2 and 4.
- These Terms are provided in Korean, English, and Japanese. If there is any inconsistency between language versions, the Korean version prevails.
